To support this mission, we are looking for a commercially focused and hands-on Head of Marketing to lead and deliver marketing that supports our sales goals, strengthens our brand, and drives measurable business impact.
Job Overview
As Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for turning commercial goals into focused, high-impact marketing actions. You will work closely with the Sales and Business Development Executives, operating as a key contributor in a fast-moving, scale-up environment.
This role requires strong judgment, ownership, and adaptability. You must be able to balance short-term needs with long-term positioning — identifying what matters now and what should be developed for the future. You’ll plan and execute marketing activities based on their expected business value, take responsibility for measuring and refining them over time, and guide the work of a small yet experienced marketing team while staying hands-on in execution.
This position is based in Oulu, Finland (TactoTek HQ).
We will begin reviewing applications during week 33.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Planning & Execution
- Translate sales and business priorities into actionable marketing plans
- Drive high-impact, outcome-oriented marketing: prioritize based on expected results and adjust based on what works
- Guide day-to-day marketing efforts and support team coordination to ensure aligned, high-quality output
- Own the marketing calendar, budget, and performance tracking
- Define clear KPIs and continuously improve based on data and learning
Brand & Content Ownership
- Own and evolve TactoTek’s brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity
- Ensure consistency and clarity across all customer-facing channels and materials
- Plan and produce strategic content that supports thought leadership and commercial relevance
Campaigns & Commercial Enablement
- Plan and deliver marketing activities that build awareness, trust, and demand among key stakeholder groups in the IMSE® ecosystem
- Support sales by developing materials and messaging that resonate with licensing partners, customers, and strategic collaborators
- Ensure marketing helps open doors, clarify value, and accelerate engagement in long, consultative sales cycles
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Solutions, Technology and Product Development, and other internal teams
- Coordinate external partners when needed, but stay hands-on in execution
- Contribute to integrated go-to-market planning and messaging
We Expect You to Have
- Strong experience in B2B marketing, ideally in a licensing, technology transfer, or deep tech commercialization context
- Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and deliver marketing activities independently
- Experience developing and managing a brand in a technical or commercial setting
- Ability to assess near-term priorities and longer-term positioning — and balance them effectively
- Analytical, structured, and results-driven working style
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent in English and Finnish; other languages are a plus
- Comfort working in a dynamic, evolving environment
