Job Overview

As an IT Manager, you will be responsible for owning and developing the company’s IT systems end-to-end, from strategic planning to hands-on implementation. You’ll work at the intersection of business strategy and technology, ensuring that our IT infrastructure, applications, and tools directly support efficiency, scalability, and innovation across the organization.

This role requires ownership, initiative, and strong collaboration skills. You’ll work across teams and functions to manage systems, vendors, and processes. You will translate business goals into practical roadmaps, administer and improve cloud and on‑premises environments, and introduce AI‑enabled tools that enhance day‑to‑day operations. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across functions to embed solutions that are reliable, secure by design, and easy to use.

The location for this position is Oulu, Finland, with flexible hybrid work options available.

Key Responsibilities

IT Strategy & Business Alignment

• Develop and execute the company’s IT strategy, ensuring it is tightly aligned with overall business goals
  
  

• Translate business needs into IT initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and collaboration
  
  

• Stay informed about emerging technologies, especially AI and automation, and assess their potential to create business value
  
  

System Ownership & Administration

• Take full ownership of IT systems, from infrastructure to applications, ensuring reliability and performance
  
  

• Manage system administration, network services, cloud environments, and user support in a hands-on way
  
  

• Identify and implement practical IT solutions that streamline business processes
  
  

Implementation & Continuous Improvement

• Lead and execute IT projects, from planning and selection to roll-out and adoption
  
  

• Introduce and maintain AI-powered tools and platforms to optimize daily work and decision-making
  
  

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed IT solutions into business operations
  
  

Vendor & Partner Management

• Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and technology partners
  
  

• Negotiate and oversee contracts to ensure cost-effective, high-quality service delivery
  
  

Security & Compliance (as a plus)

• Ensure systems are resilient and compliant with relevant standards
  
  

• Apply knowledge of information security practices; experience with automotive industry requirements is considered a plus
  
  

We Expect You to Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
  
  

• 5+ years of experience in IT management or a comparable leadership role
  
  

• A proven ability to design and deliver IT strategies that support business objectives
  
  

• Hands-on expertise in system administration, infrastructure management, and cloud services
  
  

• Experience with implementing new technologies, ideally including AI and automation tools
  
  

• Familiarity with information security and industry standards (automotive knowledge is a plus, not a requirement)
  
  

• Strong problem-solving skills, enthusiasm, and a self-driven mindset
  
  

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
