Job Overview:
As the Customer Solutions Engineer / Manager at TactoTek you will serve as the strategic liaison between our customers, their development and production teams, and our internal experts— guiding projects from initial concept ideation through prototype development to full-scale production. This role blends technical acumen with project management and customer engagement skills to ensure that IMSE technology is implemented effectively— delivering cost, weight, and space savings while enabling innovative, seamlessly integrated and sustainable electronic solutions that align with customer requirements. Main responsibilities will include:

Customer Engagement & Project Management
- Serve as the primary technical liaison for customers, guiding customers through the IMSE development process and projects from initial ideation & technical solutions during RFI, RFQ to ensure IMSE be selected as base technology platform.
- Lead prototyping efforts and coordinate cross-functional project execution to ensure that designs & IMSE solutions are manufacturable, scalable, and meet client needs.
- Support & follow up customer projects engineering development when necessary during DV, EV, PV stage. Understand APQP/PPAP and relevant quality systems, and automotive industrial standards.
- Provide technical sales support, including product demonstrations, presentations, and feasibility discussions.
- Oversee the management of the Bill of Materials (BOM) to align with project cost, material, and manufacturing requirements.
- Also knows the productions, process controls, ramp-ups and the way of operations in China.
- Maintain robust relationships with customers through regular, clear communication and proactive project updates.

Industry Expertise & Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration
- Stay informed on industry trends in automotive, aerospace, consumer products, and other key sectors to deliver innovative, market-aligned solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams (technology and product development, sales, field application engineering) to ensure smooth project execution and high customer satisfaction.
- Present integrated technical and project management insights to a variety of stakeholders, from technical teams to senior management.

- Develop an in-depth understanding of IMSE technology and contribute to continuous product improvement by incorporating customer feedback and identifying opportunities for technological innovation.
- Guide technology improvement and new materials validation at tiers & partners in China, ensure the development direction is under TactoTek’s guidance & control.

We expect you to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electronics or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus but not required).
- Native Chinese, English is the major working language (fluent in Japanese is a plus but not required)
- 8+ years’ experience in automotive interior & exterior product design, systems engineering, mechanical engineering roles with exposure to cross-functional project management.
- Strong connections in automotive industrial eco-system. Has proven track record of car interior & exterior projects developing.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (3D and 2D) and simulation methods (FEA, optical, mold flow) combined with experience in BOM management.
- Logical and facts & data-based analysis skills, familiar with DFMEA, PFMEA, Feasibility study processes.
- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and projects.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills tailored to diverse audiences.
- Adaptability and a customer-centric mindset in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
- Ability to work independently while being a strong team player as well.

- 具备基于逻辑和事实,较强的数据分析能力,熟悉DFMEA、PFMEA、可行性研究分析等相应的工程开发工具。
- 较强的项目管理能力,能够协调跨学科团队和项目。
- 优秀的沟通和演讲技巧,能够针对不同受众进行有针对性的推介IMSE技术。

Travel
- Willingness to travel for up to one month for training in Finland when starting your career at TactoTek, developing a deep understanding of TactoTek’s IMSE technology and processes.
- Flexibility to travel within China and Asia for client meetings, tech shows, and industry events to represent TactoTek and provide technical support.
- Annual travel to Finland, to stay updated with latest development of TactoTek’s IMSE technology and processes
